Robert is a fourth-generation coffee producer and he purchased his farm in 2007. He uses a semi-washed, or honey process, to minimize the impact of his coffee on the environment. “The honey process saves a lot of water, and for that reason I prefer it”.
Producing high-quality coffee requires great discipline. First you need good varieties, then you have to fertilize your trees well, you have to avoid the use of chemicals and finally, you have to oversee every moment of the processing and drying. It requires patience, especially when it comes to drying.
Drying honey processed coffees take twice as long as washed coffees, This is coffee made by the hands of dedicated farmers, and processed with great effort and care.
