About the Farmer
We are proud to support the APCI; Coffee Producers Association of Intag.
This association helps women who are victims of domestic violence to become independent through coffee production.
The women own and manage small farms where the coffee is harvested and produced in the fully washed processing method.
The Red Bourbon and Red Caturra trees are mostly produced at altitudes between 1500-2100 meters, resulting in more complex coffees.
The project is made up of many farms located by the river Intag, whose waters have historically nurtured coffee production for more than a century.
Today, there are more than 134 hectares of cultivated coffee in that area.
The region of Imbabura is rather touristic due to its gorgeous landscapes of snowy mountain peaks surrounding the Cotacachi Volcano.
The cherries of this delicious coffee are fully washed and dried on African beds.
