About the Farmer
Tariku is the sole proprietor of his Rocko-Mountain farms, where he produces and processes his coffee himself.
With the help of local experts such as Technoserve, Tesfaye Roba, and other agricultural experts, he cares for his trees and processes his coffee traditionally using the natural process; firstly floating the crop in water to remove unwanted cherries and debris, then drying on raised beds for 28 days.
Coffee is the primary income of Tariku, supporting 10 children with his work.
Yirgacheffe is famous for its fantastic coffees, producing many memorable, deliciously sweet, and complex cups for coffee-lovers all over the world. This Yirgacheffe, grown and processed by Tariku Mengesha is no exception.
